About this app
What Finchly is and what it is for
Finchly is a mobile study companion app for Android, made for students and working students in the Philippines. Its purpose is to remove the daily admin of being a student: instead of tracking coursework in one place, notes in another and tuition payments on paper, Finchly keeps all of it in a single app and reminds the student before anything is due.
Concretely, the app lets a student write and camera-scan notes, keep a weekly class schedule with reminders and Zoom links, track tuition installments, see their Google Classroom subjects, coursework, deadlines and teacher announcements, get a suggested order of study for the day, and ask an AI assistant to explain a topic in plain language. A paid Pro plan adds unlimited AI chat and a tutor that works through a specific subject's coursework.
Why Finchly asks for Google account access: signing in with Google is optional, and a student can use an email address instead. When a student chooses Google, Finchly requests read-only access to their Google Classroom courses, their own coursework and submissions, teacher announcements, and the coursework files their teacher attached in Drive. That is what lets the app show the work that is actually due, remind the student about it, and explain the attached lesson. Finchly never writes to, changes or deletes anything in Classroom or Drive, and never submits work as the student. Every scope and its purpose is listed below.

Signing in with Google is optional — you can use an email address instead. If you do connect your Google account, Finchly asks for read-only access to these things and nothing else. Every item below powers a feature you can see in the app.

To open the files your teacher attached to coursework — the PDFs and Docs live in Drive, not in Classroom. Finchly Tutor reads that attachment so it can explain the lesson and build your study plan. Nothing else in your Drive is used.

Finchly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

- Revoke Finchly's access entirely from your Google Account permissions.

Before you download
Is Finchly really free?
Yes. Every account starts on Free and stays there until you choose to pay. You get 30 chat replies a day, and all the notes, schedule, Classroom, planner and tuition features.
How do I pay for Pro?
Inside the app, under Settings → Subscription, using QR Ph from any GCash, Maya or bank app. It is ₱149 for one month or ₱350 for three. Paying extends your access date — nothing charges you again automatically.
Can I trust the AI answers?
Treat them as study help, not as verified answers. AI can be confidently wrong, so always check anything important against your own course material — and follow your school's rules on what you may submit as your own work.
What happens to my notes and files?
They stay yours. We store them so the app can work, and we never sell your data or use it for ads. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is collected and who processes it.
Does it need a permanent connection?
No. Reminders, note scanning and the day planner all run on your device. Only the chat, the tutor and syncing Classroom need the internet.
